006_IN-FORM

The very basis of any spatial experience regarding internal spaces is being based, according to our thesis, clearly on the correlation between the overall form and the interior space itself. The interior space consist of three subsystems (envelope, structure and furnishing)relying on the same spatial framework. Such spatial framework is physical not necessarily present within the space but works rather as a data set for all subsystems to operate on. There is clear hierarchy of all three subsystems even though they rely on the same date set. This hierarchy is basically done by zoning all subsystems and defining a clear relation between them as well as the relation to the spatial framework. That methodology creates a coherent symbiosis generating a desirable spatial richness with a legible structure of all architectural elements within the space. Concerning the building application we propose the urban club as a series of shell pavilions, sitting on a continuous furnishing landscape, supported with a structural layer of large backbone trusses running through the entire space.
