FUCTIONAL CONCEPT
Of course the idea was not to produce something esthetically disgusting or to avoid this question at all.
The main goal is to produce the esthetics just by operating with functions.
I did not want to produce something just because it looks beautifull.
I tried to avoid any kind of decorativity and let the beauty just come by itself,
if the geometry just follows the rules of the function.
Concidering the system as the tool which is able to bring any idea into life i just make it to follow to already existing architectural ideas of certain spaces.
And then when the geometrical system follows that ideas and transforms according to them we gain the esthetics which comes out at the most straight and honest way.
It s an esthetic of the true meaning of the shape that consists only the elements which are really need to be there in a functional way.
Finally we can concider the fassade and interior as a book of the functions which we are able to read as from within as from outside.
SURFACE CONCEPT
All the project is based on one transformated grid system which consists the basic component.
In the case of the club the hexogon was chosen as the best and easy-modified element which is able to produce a diversed system with all the possible variations.
It can be used almost as every possible functional element, the constructional element,
an any kind of furniture and of course it can be into the decorative patterns (but that possibility was rejected for this project by conceptual reasons).
The strongest quality of the hexagonal system is quick and easy transformation between the constructional part (which actually produce all the basic shape of the building)
and the elements which supposed only to follow the basic shape (furniture for example).
