Elderly people are often seen as a burden for the new generations and as part of the community that can no longer participate in social life and are consequently deported to retirement homes. But thereby we loose a huge capital of information and knowledge which was collected over decades. By not listening to their stories we miss the great change to built a relation to history and learn from their experiences.


With the Library of gOld, we aim to reestablish the connection between old and young while exchanging information convenient for both sides.
Since the main information source for the  young people today is internet, providing  a different possibility to easily gain knowledge while talking to the old, has a high social factor apart from others. As a result of that, elderly will regain the feeling of still being needed, respected and most important - feel interest of the others.

To get in touch with with the Library of gOld, you enter their homepage to access upcoming events, meetings or consultation hours. The platform will also contain profiles and contact data in order to make a date.
