comment on racismDie Plakatkampagne „comment on racism” versteht sich als Stellungnahme zur politischen Situation in Österreich. Ziel ist es, gegen institutionalisierte Rassismen aufzutreten. Missstände in der staatlichen Asyl- und Migrationspolitik, demokratische Defizite, polizeiliche Übergriffe, sowie die unreflektierte Medienberichterstattung darüber, werden fokussiert und attackiert.Die 11 Sujets wurden von StudentInnen der Universität für angewandte Kunst in Wien/Institut für Kunst und kommunikative Praxis in Kooperation mit Martin Krenn entwickelt, in einer Auflage von 1000 Stück in der Siebdruckwerkstätte gedruckt und an SympathisantInnen zum Aufkleben verteilt.
comment on racismThe poster campaign ‘comment on racism’ shall be understood as a statement on the political situation in Austria. A main aim is to appear in public against institutionalised racism and to show up deplorable states of affairs, concerning the governmental migration- and asylum policy, democratic deficiency, assaults by the police and not reflectedmedia reports for that purposes.The 11 posters were printed by the producers, in a run of 1000 pieces in the screenprint studio and will be distributed to interested persons to put them up and to spread them.The project was developed in cooperation with Martin Krenn at the University of Applied Arts/”Institut für Kunst und kommunikative Praxis” in Vienna.

For all interested in Racism.
The Darien Dilemma will be screened at Vienna Jewish Film Festival on 11th November 2007 at 8.30 Metro Kino. Director Erez Laufer & Screenwriter Nahum Laufer will be presnt for Q&A session after the screening. The film has a special interest to Vienna Public and Vienna University as it tells the Saga of the Kladova-Savatz tragedy of 1000 refugees from Vienna (many of them students & staff from the University) that lost there lives enroute to Eretz-Israel in Yugoslavia , also about Ruth Klieger “Lady Mossad” a graduate from Vienna University.

hätte gerne auch plakate. keine_uni (keineuni.org) wird in nächster zeit auch was zum riesenkomplex rassismus/migration/neoliberale globalisierung machen. vielleicht ein unique-dossier zum thema “rassismus - was kann ich tun?” mit hintergrundinfos und ideen zum sich engagieren. corinna milborn etc. einladen. da wärs toll ein paar von den plakaten zu haben.

Ein sehr gute Aktion. Als Gestalter muss ich natürlich noch dazu sagen, dass die Gestaltung der Plakate echt top ist. Mehr davon für eine bessere Welt! Eine digitale Version würde auch mich interessieren!
